Abstract Materials and resources for GRE test preparation
#3
1. Description and general outline of the exam

OK! Let's go to the GRE exam!
In general, the GRE test is intended to measure a person's concentration, speed, and intelligence. Of course in English! That is why children also refer to this test as a language test. If the main purpose of this test is not to assess the student's language level.

The GRE test consists of three parts:

Analytical Writing (Grade 6) (Analytical Writing): At the beginning of the exam, you are faced with two writings. The main purpose of these two writings, in addition to the level of your writing, is to measure your critical thinking and reasoning. LT is. The contents of this section are well explained in the book The Official Guide. The usual scores of children in this section are between 3 and 4.5. A grade of 4.5 is generally a good grade for an international student.

Verbal Reasoning (score of 170) (Verbal Reasoning): In the GRE exam, we have two sets of 20 questions, a verbal question, and the response time for each set is 30 minutes. In this section, you are faced with three question models. Reading questions and two models of vacancy questions are Sentence Equivalence (SE) and Text Completion (TC).
Reading section: About 20 questions in the whole test, ie half of the questions in the verbal section.
Section SE: The question is that you have six options for a space that you have to choose two that do not change the meaning of the sentence by putting any of the options in the sentence.
From this model, we have 4 questions in the base computer for each section, and a total of 8 questions out of 40 questions in the verbal section are of this type of questions.

TC section: This question is a sentence or paragraph that has one, two or three spaces.
Out of a total of 40 questions in the verbal section, 12 questions make up this section.

Quantitative Reasoning (score of 170): In the GRE test, we have two sets of 20 questions with a quantum question, which takes 35 minutes to answer each set. The level of mathematics in this exam is not very high for a technical student with a diploma in mathematics and physics, but the lack of accuracy and speed causes children to lose points in this part.

Tip 1: From the essays section, the sets appear randomly on the screen.
Tip 2: If we divide the exam into 7 sets (two sets of essays, two sets of verbal, two sets of quantum and one set of tests), after the fourth set you have an optional ten-minute break. You have one minute to breathe between each set!
Tip 3: To register, go to the ETS site in the GRE section and register.
